1. Online Wedding Directories
Online wedding directories such as Mrs2Be, Weddings Online, My Wedding Store and Love Weddings (to name a few) provide an excellent list of wedding suppliers in Ireland.
2. Pinterest
Pinterest and wedding planning in the US are one and the same. While not as big in Ireland, the topic “Perfect Irish Wedding” has 450 pins and thousands of followers. Pinterest is especially great for inspiration, providing loads of fun, budget-friendly and creative ideas to help your wedding stand out from the crowd.
3. Google
Is there anything Google doesn’t do? One of the best kept secrets for planning your wedding is Google’s suite of helpful Google doc templates, including a seating chart, schedule, to-do list, and budget. These templates can be accessed here.
Google Drive in general is great for sharing word docs, spreadsheets, PDFs and photos, making it easy to share important dates and details with your fiancé, parents, and planner.
4. Citizens Information
While not the most glamorous aspect of planning your wedding, it’s important to know the legal requirements and procedures involved in getting married, both at home and abroad. The website Citizens Information is a good starting place as they have a dedicated page for newly engaged couples here.
5. Wedding Happy
It wouldn’t be 2017 if there wasn’t a mobile app on this list. Wedding Happy is like a personal assistant, gently reminding you of important deadlines such as “pay the deposit for the band”. While we haven’t trialled it here at the Bentley Boys, it comes highly recommended on various wedding blogs.
6. Wedding Shop
Kitchen already stocked-up? If you’d rather get money toward a down payment than gifts, check out Wedding Shop. Wedding Shop allows you to build a list that combines products you love with honeymoon and cash contributions. You can even add a charity fund that is close to your heart.
