The Bentley Boys like to keep an ear to the ground when it comes to all things wedding. With spring firmly here and most of the national wedding fairs behind us, we’ve compiled a list of more local venue based fairs, showcases and open days for all newly engaged couples to consider attending this March (and April):
1) Rathsallagh House Wedding Appointment Day
Rathsallagh House are holding a wedding appointment day this Sunday, the 12th. A truly beautiful wedding venue and a great, knowledgeable wedding team, it’s worth paying them a visit. This is by appointment so get in touch with them via their website which can be accessed here.
2) Hodson Bay Hotel Wedding Showcase
We showcase at the stunning Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone every month, so call us biased, but this venue is one worth checking out. They’re holding a wedding showcase on the 19th of March to allow you to see for yourself why. We’ll be showcasing there on the 26th so you also have a reason to come back and visit a week later.
3) The Old Inn Crawfordsburn Wedding Fair
The Old Inn Crawfordsburn is a beautiful venue and one of the oldest luxury hotels in Northern Ireland (located near Bangor). They’ll be holding a wedding fair on the 19th of March with free entry from 1-5pm. Check out the details here.
4) Lough Erne Resort Wedding Open Weekend
Another Northern Irish venue, the five star Lough Erne Resort is holding a wedding open weekend on the 11th & 12th of March where they will be unveiling the stunning new Ross Suite. You can register to attend here.
5) Palmerstown House Estate Wedding Open Evening
Palmerstown House Estate is holding a wedding open evening on the 23rd. Constructed in 1872 by the Earl of Mayo and situated on 700 acres of parkland in Kildare, it really is a fantastic venue (and only 30-minutes from Dublin). This is another open evening that requires you to make an appointment so get in touch with them here.
6) The Abbey Hotel Roscommon “Say Yes to the Dress” Event
The Abbey Hotel Roscommon is hosting a “Say Yes to the Dress Event” on the 26th from 2-6pm. With Bridal Shops, Boutiques, Hat Hire and Wedding Accessory suppliers showcasing their products, it’s well worth any bride and her bridal party’s time to attend. Admission is free and no appointment is required.
7) Druids Glen Hotel Wedding Showcase
While not in March, we’re big fans of the Druids Glen so we decided to include it in this list anyway. Set in the idyllic heart of Wicklow, Druids Glen is holding a wedding showcase on Sunday the 2nd of April from 12 noon until 4.00pm. To quote from the venue “prospective couples will gain an insight into the excellent personal service Druids Glen offers while also seeking ideas and inspiration from a select choice of wedding specialists throughout the afternoon.” You can read more about it here.
