The Top 10 Last Songs of 2015

It’s all come down to this, the last song of the wedding night! The DJ is primed and ready. Friend’s and family surround the newly married couple in a circle, earnestly waiting to sing and dance them off into the night.

But what song do you play to make this a memorable moment? It should be an anthem, it should be epic, it should be for everybody! The last song of the night is far more important than you think! We’ve put on our thinking caps, back to front, and researched long into the night to come up with this list of the top 10 most requested last songs for your wedding, 2015.

This is by no means a definitive list, different songs mean different things to couples, but remember your last dance song should be upbeat and uplifting. The track should be a song that gets everyone’s arms in the air, their feet stomping, and a song they can sing along to.

A one hit wonder of sorts for the New York-based band. We Are Young is an anthem for people who never want the night to end. Picture the bride and groom surrounded in a large circle of friends and family, all singing along to this!

5. The Lumineers – Ho, Hey

4. Journey – Don’t Stop Believing

Now the epitome of an end-of-the-night-song, Journey’s 1981 rock classic Don’t Stop Believing has had a renaissance in the past decade and continues to be requested from both bands and DJ’s as the final song of the night.

The classic rock anthem is always sure to get the lads on the floor with air guitars and the ties around their head, and the ladies won’t be far behind them either! One hell of a tune to finish the night!

Time to let the hair down, pick up that air guitar and start wailing to Queen’s biggest rock anthem Bohemian Rhapsody. Six minutes of ludicrous but masterful opera singing and guitar playing is sure to set the pulses going as your night draws to a close!

A song you can be sure every bride wants to hear when it comes to the last song of the night. Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes – Time Of My Life from the soundtrack to the cult classic film ‘Dirty Dancing’ is as perfect a song to finish the night as any!
