10. Christina Perri – A Thousand Years

The incredible popularity of The Twilight Saga is part of the reason Christina Perri’s Thousand Years is the choice for many couples as their first song. The other reason is the song’s simple brilliance; soft, romantic and well written. Perri’s music captures the occasion of a wedding and first dance superbly.

9. Ray LaMontagne – You Are The Best Thing

Husky-voiced Ray LeMontangne burst onto the music scene with this glorious love song in 2008. With a swinging 60’s foot-tapping beat, triumphant brass section and all round feel-good vibes, couples young and old can’t get enough of You Are The Best Thing as their first choice.

8. Jason Mraz – I Won’t Give Up

Released in 2012, Jason Mraz’s I Won’t Give Up is written about not giving up on the person you love. The song’s easy going vibe and strong emotive lyrics makes this folk song a very popular choice for couples looking for something a little less ordinary.

7. Nina Simone – My Baby Just Cares For Me

Nina Simone’s classic jazz standard is still as popular now, as it was on its release in 1958. However, it wasn’t until 1987 that My Baby Just Cares For Me hit the mainstream, and it’s been there ever since. Still in our TOP 10.

6. Frankie Valli – Can’t Take My Eyes Off You

Made famous by the Jersey Boys and Frankie Valli, Can’t Take My Eyes off You is still one of the most popular first dance wedding songs requested by couples. Great song that gets the entire room singing along.

5. Michael Buble – Everything

Canadian crooner Michael Bublé’s Everything is number five on the list of Top 10 First Dance Wedding Songs. Written by Bublé about his then girlfriend, it was a change from his usual Big Band sound and it became very popular with wedding couples.

4. Etta James – At Last

Blues and soul legend Etta James released At Last in 1960 from her debut album with the same name. With sensual and loving lyrics, At Last continues to be as popular for couples’ first dance as ever.

Taken from her reissued Halycon album, Ellie Goulding’s version of How Long Will I l Love You was the official song for the BBC’s Children In Need campaign of 2013. Originally written by Mike Scott of The Waterboys, the song also featured on the soundtrack to the film ‘About Time’.

2. John Legend – All Of Me

Number two on our list is John Legend’s 2013 release All Of Me. This track was penned as a heartfelt love song to his wife Chrissy Teigen, and this reason alone makes it popular with couples as their first dance wedding song. We love performing this song too!

1. Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud

Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud was released in June 2014 and was still one of the most requested first dance song by wedding couples. Everything about this song screams wedding and unconditional love between two people and this is why it’s our NUMBER ONE first dance wedding song.
